Born in Aomori on March 5th, 1985, Kenichi Matsuyama made his screen debut in Bright Future (2002), directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Recently he has appeared in popular films such as NANA (2006) directed by Kentaro Otani, Linda Linda Linda (2005) directed by Nobuhiro Yamashita, and Otoko-tachi no Yamato (2005) directed by Junya Sato. He is one of the most promising actors in Japan.
